Spindle Installation
(Ⅰ)
Machine spindle is a high-speed and high precision type of motor:
a) It is supported by precision rolling bearing;
b) Lubricated by grease;
c) Water cooled by external circulation;
d) Usually upright used;
Right spindle installation has a direct impact on engraving effect and spindle service life.
So, what we should do on spindle installation?
1. Avoid hit on spindle installation:
Especially avoid intense hit against spindle head and bottom;
Otherwise, it will damage the precision of bearing and router spindle, and cause the loss of spindle rotation accuracy;
2. Proper way of spindle installation:
(1) Before spindle installation, please make sure spindle motor is at normal working state;
Mainly showed as:
a) No damage from appearance;
b) Rotate evenly;
c) 500 volt shake table to check insulation resistance should be more than 100 MΩ (megohm);
(2) Warm notice while installing spindles:
a) The tolerance between outer diameter of spindle sleeve and seat hole grip must be guaranteed that, the spindle sleeve could slip into the seat hole easily;
b) You could not position machine spindle by hammer or other tools under any circumstances;
c) The chucking force should not be too large;
or else, the steeling balls raceway of high precision bearing will be deformed, which affects spindle precision and lifetime;
(3) After installed spindles, please check:
a) In the front of spindle, make sure the beating of tapered bore centering face should not exceed 0.003mm;
b) Cnc router spindle rotates evenly;
3. Set up router collets, screw nut and router bits after spindle installation;
(1) Must guarantee rotation accuracy, or will shake violently and affect engraving quality, efficiency and bearing service life;
(2) Collets, nut, cnc cutting tool and tapped holes (in the front of spindle) must be cleaned very carefully;
(3) Remember not to force too much when install and uninstall cnc cutter;
(4) After assembly, please make sure the beating of cutter bottom is less than 0.01mm;
① If exceed, should:
a) Correct router bit by tightening and loosening repeatedly;
b) Adjust and change the contact surface of tool holder;
② If still no effect, please check if every contact surface are at normal state;
③ Don't knock at random;
