    How to Install Spindles

    (Ⅱ)

     

    Today, we continue our series on how to install spindles.

     

    4. How to install spindles before running:

    (1)  Confirm the circulating cooling water for spindle sleeve has been opened;

    (2)  Generally, the cooling water temperature should not exceed 35℃; 

    a)  Cooling water temperature should not be too low;

    b)  It is inappropriate for using tap water;

    c)  If water is too cold, it can cause the internal air which is inside cnc spindle cooled and form in condensation;

    The condensation will cause corrosion to the bearing and affect isolation;

     

    (3)  Cooling water flow can be 3~5L/MIN;

    (4)  Cooling water should be clean and no impurities, to avoid blocking the aisle;

    (5)  Generally, the water in coolant tank is about 50L~100L;

    Water pump suggestion: AB-25 or AB-50;

     

    (6)  The distance between water inlet and water outlet should not be too close;

    a)  Ensure cooling process in the coolant tank;

    b)  The water temperature difference is better to reach 2~3℃ between water inlet and water outlet;

    c)  Avoid hot water circulation to affect cooling effect;

     

    5. Be sure that the power voltage and frequency converter is identical with cnc router spindle:

    (1)  Set U/F converter curves according to the relationship between voltage and frequency;

    (2)  The 4th core of the machine spindle plug should be earthed;

    (3)  The 1st, 2nd and 3rd core should be connected with UVW of frequency converter;

     

    6. How to install spindles when startup cnc router:

    (1)  The first start up should be short-time run (start the inching function);

    (2)  Check spindle direction;

    If reversed, cut off the electricity without delay, and exchange any two inlet wires;

    (3)  To new router spindle, it's better running in low speed:

    After running 0.5~1.0 hour at a low speed, then step into high speed rotating; 

    (4)  The starting time is about 10 seconds;

     

    7. Running:

    (1)  Listen:

          Check if the spindle sounds normal:

           If any strange noise by scraping or abnormal condition, close down the cnc machine at once;   

    (2)  Touch:

          Check whether the heat and vibrations of cnc machinery is stable;

    (3)  After running:

    ①  Turn off the power;

    ②  After cnc spindle stopped rotating:

    a)  Upload cnc tools and router collets;

    b)  Close water pump to stop water supply;

    c)  Clean cnc router spindle, solid end mill after each use;
