Ten Most Common Spindle Failure (Ⅳ)
Normally, replacement cycle of CNC spindle is 3-6 months. So, find the spindle fault and solve it has become more and more important.

9. The ninth spindle fault –
Router bits could not be clamped.
You can analysis from the following situation:
(1) The first situation:
① Reason:
The displacement quantity of disk spring is too small:
② Result in:
a) Router spindle with carbide milling cutter cannot get to the right place;
b) Clamping device could not reach correct position;
c) Router bit cannot be clamped;
③ Solution to this spindle fault:
Adjust the stroke length of disk spring;
(2) The second situation:
① Router collets are broken, causing cnc bits cannot be clamped by spindle clamping device;
② You can replace new router collet to solve this spindle fault;
(3) The third case:
① Disk spring failure;
② How to resolve this spindle fault:
Change new spring;
(4) The fourth case:
① Rivets in the tool holder is too long, which would go against spindle clamp device, so that the clamping device could not reach correct position;
Further to this, CNC tools cannot be clamped;
② Solution to the rivets:
a) Adjust;
b) Replace;
c) Install correctly;
10. The tenth spindle fault –
CNC tools cannot be loosened after clamping;
Usually, it mainly results from:
(1) To hydraulic cylinder, the working stroke and pressure is not enough;
You can adjust hydraulic pressure and travel switch to solve this spindle fault;
(2) The press fit in disk spring is too tight;
Solution:
Adjust screw nut so as to reduce the pressure on the spring;

6. The sixth spindle problem –
Motor reverse:
(1) Check whether motor wiring has phase lack;
(2) Usually, this spindle problem is caused by wrong connection;
① Solution: exchange output terminals UVW;
② UVW is the three lines which connect between router converter and motor spindle;
③ Warm notice:
Don't change earth wire; it would be a terrible mistake;
7. The seventh spindle problem –
CNC spindle stopped rotating:
Analysis or solution:
(1) Router spindle has internal short circuit;
(2) Current shield;
(3) Converter parameter setting is not right;
(4) Cnc converter has its own problem;
(5) Control card has a failure;
(6) Spindle wire or data line are cut short;
8. The seventh spindle problem –
Cnc router spindle stopped spinning when taking heavy cuts:
(1) The conveyor between spindle motor and machine spindle is too loose:
① Which result in:
a) Drive torque is too small, especially during heavy cutting;
b) Generate alarm;
c) CNC router automatically stopped;
② How to solve:
Readjust conveyor tension;
(2) There are oil on the conveyor belt surface, which cause belt slipping when cnc machine spindle is rotating;
You can solve this spindle problem by:
① Cleaning with gas or alcohol;
② Then, dry out;
(3) Conveyor belt has lost its potency after long using time, which lead to motor torque cannot be applied;
Change new conveyor to clear this spindle problem;
(4) The clutch and coupling joint are worn or adjusted too loose:
① It results in:
a) Torque transmission error is excessive;
b) Spindle is strong shaking or chattering in the process of heavy cutting;
c) Occurs alarm;
d) Cnc machine stops working automatically;
② Solution to the spindle problem:
Adjust and change clutch or coupling;
(5) Router bits are broken:
Change new carbide cutting tools accordingly, with the feature of:
① Suitable to your processing demand;
② Excellent performance;
③ Durable and high-quality (stronger for heavy cuts);
④ Good price;
