5.   The fifth router bit trouble –

Tipping:

(1)  There is foreign body in the workpiece.

Solution: inspect material content of workpiece, and check if there is something else on the workpiece surface.

(2)  The workpiece is not fastened well, which cause strong vibration.

Resolution: check the fixing.

Please retighten if has any problems.

 

6.   The sixth router bit trouble –

Tool breakage:

(1)  Lead from: transversal impulsion is too high because of so fast movement speed; 

Solution:

Appropriated to reduce movement speed.

If no change, adequate increase rotation speed.

(2)  Proper travelling speed, but rotate speed is too low.

Settlement:

Appropriated to increase rotate speed (usually, the rotate speed is between 18000 and 24000 RPM).

(3)  CED (cutting edge diameter) is too thin and easily broken.

Start from lowest speed while start processing, then speed up gradually.

The final movement speed should be suitable, and not too fast.

(4)  Tool vibration; or router collet is dirty or wearing.

(5)  Improper cutting load.

How to solve:

Reset chip load according to the formula:

Chip load = Feed rate / (RPM * Number of cutting edges).

(6)  This router bit trouble is also related to motor precision, plates hardness, router collets, etc.

 

7.   The seventh router bit trouble –

Poor chip removal:

(1)  Reason: revolving speed disaccord with movement speed.

Solution: Adjust speed setting adequately.

(2)  Cause: router bit types are not in accordance with the characters of processing materials.

What to do:

Use other types of router bits instead.

(3)  Straight router bit has worn out after a long time:

Please replace new one.

 

8.   The eighth router bit trouble –

Machining material is burning or melting:

(1)  Improper tools selection from different materials and various cnc router application.
