Why Processing Surface is Unsmooth by Routing Machines
Sometimes, we will encounter such problem: the processing surface is unsmooth by routing machines. So why?
We could analyze from the following aspects:
1. First solution to rough surface by routing machines –
Check whether the tool selection of cutter path is right.
(1) When doing tool path, if the router bits model we select is larger than actually used model, the machining surface will be rough;
(2) So, when making cutting path, we should select right and suitable cutter model;
2. Second way to unsmooth surface by routing machines –
See if the exserted length of tool shank is too long.
If yes, the deformation of ball nose end mill becomes wider in machining, and processing is changing all the time, so the processed surface is unsmooth;
3. Third method to rough processing surface by routing machines –
Check whether carbide end mill cutters have been broken or blunt.
