Why CNC Machine Lose Step
Why CNC Machine Lose Step
CNC machine lose step seriously in X-axis or Y-axis while processing.
It shows that cnc router rattled; at that time, no matter by computer output or manually, it can cause lose step.
We can solve lose step from the following aspects:
1. First, lose step maybe caused by too fast processing speed;
See if the setting processing speed had exceeded machine limited speed;
If yes, change into reasonable or suitable carving speed;
2. Second, control system attacked by virus may lead to lose step:
(1) For computer control system:
Re-install the operation system in the computer;
(2) For DSP Handle control system:
Format DSP handle;
3. Lose step leads from driver breakage or driver IC breakage.
(1) Stepper motor is driven by dedicated chip; if this chip is broken or with bad heat dissipation, step motor will miss step.
(2) To driver chip, it will automatically power off once the temperature exceeding 105 degree; and restore electricity as the temperature decreases;
(3) We can solve lose step by:
① Repair or replace new driver chip;
② Add a new cooling fan;
4. Lose step results from broken or wearing router bits:
Replace new and suitable miniature end mill accordingly;
5. When cnc router is interfered outside, it may result in lose step;
Check if there are interfering sources nearby, such as highline, transformer equipment, etc.
6. Coupling on one axis is loose:
Tighten coupling timely;
7. Power instability also could cause lose step:
Replace power supply;
Or add new voltage regulator;
8. Pirated WeiHong Card is a possible reason causing lose step;
Solution: replace new and real WeiHong Card;
