Relief Carving Techniques
If we use common diamond tools, it is really very difficult to engrave superhard stone materials, like granite, moorstone, etc.
And, it takes much longer time when processed with layered method; if not with layered approach, easily to happen tool breakage or burn out. Especially when do embossment, we can deeply experience that two flanks of diamond taper bit is both stressed for the first feed, at this time, engraver tool is most easily broken or burn out.
The following are our relief carving techniques, which accumulated over a long period. Hope it’s helpful to you!
For the first cut, we should process by many times, until cnc router finish the first line.
Then from the second line, stone tools will be stressed in only one direction.
We can adjust engraving speed according to given line space.
By such relief carving techniques, we not only can save much time than layered way for the whole processing area, but also prolong router bits service life.
