How to Install Router Bits

How to Install Router Bits

The precision of cnc clamping tools will directly affect engraving performance. So, we must install router bits according to the following steps.

1.    First step to install router bits -

Do cleaning.

(1)  There are many cracks in the router collets; the matching between collet and spindle depends on the connection of shaft end boring.

If contact is not good, it's not easy to install router bits straightly.

(2)  So, before installing router bits every time, must wash the parts cleanly.

Such as chuck, screw, shaft cone, taper hole and thread in rotor end, etc.

(3)  Warm notice: scrub residue in the chuck completely.

2.    Second process to install router bits -

Screw collet into clamping nut in upright position.

Gently rotate chuck, embedding eccentric part of nut into slot. Then, push chuck in the direction of the arrow. The strength should be equally. Thus, you can install cnc collet into screw nut.

3.    Third procedure of installing router bits -

Twist pressing cap and collet together to cnc spindle.

(1)  Screw up the cap against threads slowly.

If not positive, the twist process is not smooth. At that moment, quit immediately, re-align, and install.

(2)  Here, make sure the process is fluent. Otherwise, thread will be crowded to deformation or stuck; as a result, damaged.

4.    Fourth flow to install router bits -

Insert solid end mill into chuck and tighten.

(1)  After wiping up the shank of downcut pcb end mills, install router bits into grasping hole.

(2)  The protruding length should be modest.

If too long, it is easy to increase pulsation and wear, even tool breakup.

If too short, it will cause interference between clamping nut and work piece, leading to damage of spindle.

5.    Fifth step to install router bits -

Gently by hand, turn the nut to reach the designated position.

6.    Sixth procedure to install router bits -

Using a wrench, tighten screw nut, until slotting cutter is held solidly.

Main point: gently and well-distributed with strength.
