8 Cutting Tool Properties
(Ⅱ)
Compared with normal machine tools, NC carbide end mill basically have the following cutting tool properties.
1. Tool holder and cnc cutting blade require cutting tool property:
Generalization, standardization, and systemization.
2. Rationality of tool durability and economic life index.
3. Put spiral router bit, blade geometric parameters and cutting parameters on a standard and typical basis.
4. The materials of cnc router cutting tools (such as milling cutter material) and cutting data should match with work piece materials.
5. Cutting tool properties to router bits -
(1) Should have high accuracy, including shape precision, relative position precision to machine spindle, and repeat accuracy of transposition and destuffing.
(2) Easy to install and adjust.
(3) Wearable.
6. Cutter handle has high strength, rigidity, and good wear resistance.
7. There is a limit in loading weight of tool system or holder.
8. Cutting tool properties to blade and shank -
(1) Right cutting position and direction.
(2) Optimized datum reference and ATC (automatic tool changer) system.
