What should we consider when set cutting output?
1. Cutter life:
To the influence on sintered bits durability (T), the order of three main factors is as
Spindle speed > feeding > cutting depth.
So when we determine cnc cutting data, we should use back engagement as big as possible, then large feeding, at last get cutting rate accordingly.
2. Productivity:
(1) In processing, the three factors of cutting output are linear with excision rate.
This means, double any parameter, will enhance productivity by twice.
However, due to the limitation on tool life, any parameter increases, the other two must be decreasing.
Therefore, high productivity is reasonable while getting best combination.
(2) Normally, try to raise engraving depth preferentially.
3. Surface roughness:
(1) In finish machining, the feed is proportional to roughness value. So it is the main element to curb production rate.
(2) In ideal circumstances, improve carving speed can make smoothness better.
(3) Carving thickness has little impact on surfaceness.
4. Machine power:
(1) The engraving thickness and velocity is in direct ratio to power.
(2) When confirm cutting output in rough machining, rise feed as large as possible, which has small effect on power.
5. Apart from that, should also think over the materials of end milling cutter and work piece, mill bits rigidity, work piece hardness, engraver machine, router collets, chip breaking and the condition of chip removal, etc.
