What Are The Cutting Tool Geometry Parameters

What Are The Cutting Tool Geometry Parameters?

What cutting tool geometry parameters include?

1.    CNC tools name;

2.    Router bit types;

3.    Engraving tool length;

4.    CNC cutters degree:

(1)  Front rake angle:

     The angle between rake face and center line.

     Its size determines the sharpness of cnc cutting edge and consistency, which has very important influence on machining process.

     The bigger rake angle, the sharper blade, and the easier and quicker cutting, otherwise the opposite.

(2)  Relief angle:

     The degree contained by flank and processing plane.

     The main function is to reduce the friction between flank and finished surface, also affect acting force and wear degree.

So it has great impact on the flute endmill durability and surface quality.

5.    Cutter blade formation: straight line shape and folded shape.

6.    Number and materials of teeth;

7.    Diameter, central diameter, corner radius, etc;

8.    Clamping way;

9.    Some other cutting tool geometry parameters, such as:

Cnc speeds and feeds, rotation direction, turning speed, and so on.

While editing, the cutting tool geometry parameters must match well with the sintered tools actually used.
