Stone router bit as the core weapon of stone cnc machine, which plays a very prominent role in finished quality and cost. So the correct knowledge and understanding of stone diamond tools is very helpful to us.
Stone bits are kind of hardware tool. They are used in processing stone materials for lettering, engraving, 3D relief, and so on.
According to different shapes, they can be divided into: 3D cnc router tools, ball end router cutters, straight cutter, flat end cutting bit, sintered granite carving tools, PCD router bits, carbide cutter, etc;
Stone cnc tools have different production materials, such as diamond, PCD, carbide, etc.
Stone router bit is composed of holder and cutting blade.
Holder has different sizes. For example, 3.175mm, 6mm, 8mm, and 12mm.
Cutting edge is an important part for machining. Its shape and degree decide the carving performance. For instance: 3d emery tools are suitable for V-shaped lettering; ball end diamond bits are appropriate for beautiful 3d relief sculpture and U-type lettering; straight cutter fits large rilievi and intaglio.
A reasonable choice and match of stone router bit could not only save cost, but also affect engraving performance. To soft stone like blue stone and marble, we can select high performance solid carbide bit with good sharpness. To hard stone like granite, we can choose PCD bits, which are with high hardness and long lifetime.
