Machining Depth

Machining Depth

There will be a most suitable machining depth, when cnc tools engrave different materials with different hardness. This is also the most reasonable cnc cutting data.

It can rationally utilize the cutting performance of stone router bits and cnc stone cutting machine, and get high productivity and low cost on the premise of guaranteeing manufacturing quality.

Unit cutting output = machining depth * width (path space) * feeding speed.

Cutting is generally classified into rough finish, semifinishing and finishing.

In rough finish, remove all allowance as much as possible. To big remainder, we should consider ball endmill strength and machine power while confirming process parameters. Thereby, avoid tool breakage because of large vibration.

In finishing, our main consideration is the limitation of working accuracy and surface roughness. Consider increasing half finishing process if cannot meet requirements, to realize satisfactory effects.

To carbide router bits, engraving thickness can be controlled in around 1mm. PCD bits can adjust to over 2mm. To carve material with high rigidity level, such as granite, we suggest granite carving tools. And it is better with a little fast manufacturing speed, and small machining depth.
