3 Factors to Affect CNC Property

Select suitable processing materials and diamond tools, can perform CNC property to maximum limit, and make carvings more beautiful!

To process materials, there are 3 factors to affect cnc property.

1.    First factor to influence CNC property -

Hardness and strength:

(1)  Hardness is the ability that something hard and resistant press into material surface;

(2)  Strength is the resistibility to deformation and breakage under an external force;

(3)  Usually, when hardness and strength of materials are relatively moderate, the bigger cutting force, the higher cutting temperature, so with worse cnc property;

But, the lower hardness, the higher plasticity, correspond to the worse cnc property, such as pure iron, fine copper, and pure nickel;

2.    Second factor to affect cnc property -

Toughness:

The higher toughness, the higher cutting resistance;

The higher cutting temperature, the more difficult in machining;

3.    Third factor to influence CNC property -

Plasticity:

(1)  Plastic property is the ability that materials change or deform without damage;

(2)  The higher plasticity, the higher cutting force and temperature;

(3)  The built up edges which stick on tool face, will affect CNC machine precision and reduce tool durability.
