7 Differences between CNC Router Engraving and Hand Carves

What's the difference between CNC router engraving and hand carves?

1.    Consistency:

(1)  CNC router carving (such as name tag engraving) can realize very high consistency.

(2)  Because of deviation in hand carvings, they could not make samples (such as relief or flower design) all the same. Thus in mass production, will certainly appear different styles.

2.    Processing efficiency:

CNC router manufacturing efficiency is several times than manual carving, especially in finish machining.

Many data have suggested that, the processed work piece by cnc router engraving can reduce two-thirds of polishing time.

3.    Human factors:

Handmade depends entirely on human element.

By contrast, NC manufacturing has relatively less impact on personal factors.

4.    Cost:

(1)  To work piece:

According to the designed pattern, cnc router engraving won't occur engraving fault, nor waste plates.

The data makes clear, it is able to cut costs by up to 50%.

(2)  To machine:

Although early days are devoted big in equipment import, however the later productivity and earned profits are much harder to be reached by manual manufacture.

5.    Precision:

CNC processing is capable of reaching higher accuracy, but the other one is difficult to ensure.

6.    Finished product ratio:

With stable control and right operating, we could guarantee yield of cnc producing, but not manual sculpture.

7.    Health:

The mass power produced by handwork will do great harm to our health.

By comparison, machine has prevention measures to protect us, such as dust cover, vacuum cleaner, etc.
