CNC Transmission

CNC Transmission

CNC transmission can be divided into two parts: conversion of motion way and linear constraints.

1.    Conversion of motion way:

(1)  This cnc transmission is to convert the circular movement of stepper motor into linear motion.

(2)  This cnc transmission is finished by ball screw or gear rack.

(3)  Ball screw is with higher precision per unit range, but because of its structure, integrating error is inevitable.

(4)  Gear rack transmission is with lower accuracy.

The advantage of this cnc transmission is:

     Faster speed;

     Because of its reciprocating running structure, gear rack won't produce integrating error because of running distance.

2.    Linear constraints device:

(1)  This cnc transmission is commonly called guide rail.

(2)  Guide rail has two types: round rail and square rail.

(3)  Usually, the combination of ball screw and round rail, is what we usually said ball screw machine;

The combination of gear rack and square rail is what we always said gear rack machine.

(4)  To guide rail quality, besides its wear-resisting extent and friction factors, we should pay most attention to its hardness and breaking strength.

(5)  To ball screw cnc transmission, we advise to adopt imported elements, because it is closely related to the lifetime and performance of cnc router and machine parts (sintered cutters, spindle, cnc router motor, etc).
