Cutting Tool Vibration
Cutting tool vibration is an annoying trouble in machining. It affects not only efficiency and performance, but also the lifetime of diamond tools and routing machine.
So what cause cutting tool vibration, and how can we resolve it?
1. First aspect resulting in cutting tool vibration -
There is a shift on the barycenter of spiral bit.
While rotating, the centrifugal forces become bigger, leading to cutting tool vibration.
2. The spindle chuck is not held firmly, causing cutting tool vibration.
Solution:
Lower the location, where router collets to hold the ball nose endmill.
(Try to shorten the length of tool bit sticking out of collet bottom)
3. The diamond drilling tools had been reached sharp wear condition.
We can judge wear situation according to machine movement in processing. If the setting like process parameters and cutting data is reasonable, cutting tool vibration or machine vibration is very big, and with a droning sound, it needs to replace new cnc tools.
