Demands to CNC Clamping Tools

CNC clamping tools in the right way is an important premise to guarantee longer lifetime of router spindle.

The demands to cnc clamping tools are:

1.    Before cnc clamping tools, make sure:

(1)  Set spindle speed to zero.

(2)  Cnc spindle had stopped running.

Rotate the head to the position of changing cnc tools.

2.    Check router bits.

(1)  If downcut end mill fit with permitted specification;

(2)  Whether cutter bar is available for cnc clamping tools;

(3)  Cutter is sharp or not for cutting;

(4)  Replace serious wearing tools timely.

3.    Examine router collets.

The chuck should be clean and in good condition.

(1)  Any small damage will cause uneven deformation in the process of cnc clamping tools; finally increase radical runout.

(2)  The effect of dust is very big, which is not easy to notice.

Dust can also add runout. Many experiments show that, cnc collet after cleaning, can reduce circular run-out by 50%, and improve cnc tool life over 2 times!

4.    Check if flute cutter match to the chuck, or cannot install router bits tightly.

5.    Clean up.

(1)  The sundries in the collet and spindle before cnc clamping tools.

(2)  The contact area of clamp and worktable.

6.    Leave enough processing space.

(1)  Avoiding deformation, the material thickness should be more than 2mm machining depth.

For example, if we carve in 10mm, the material must thicker than 12mm.

(2)  It is strictly forbidden to engrave on suspended materials.

(3)  Cnc clamping tools must follow the rules of solid, flat and straight.

7.    Before cnc clamping tools, don't leave adjusting tools inside the machine body.
