How to choose engraving tools for stone?

1. Select engraving tools for stone from work demand:
(1) Fine carving word or pattern:
Diamond router bits with small angle and tool tip.
(2) Large text or design engraving:
Without affecting precision, it is better to select cnc cutters with large degree and tool nose.
(3) When designing tool path, try to apply router bit, whose degree and tool tip are maximized to increase efficiency.
(4) Hard materials shall get bigger angle and blade.
2. Choose engraving tools for stone from spindle motor:
(1) To low power motor (smaller router collets & collet adapter):
It is advisable to china diamond tools with small shank (3.175mm, 4.0mm).
The feeding speed should not be so fast, keeping least resistance for best cutting performance.
(2) To large power:
Use diamond engraving tool with big shank to improve speed.
3. Blade selection – engraving tools for stone:
(1) The most suitable blade length is adding 2-3mm based on material thickness.
(2) While cutting acrylic, motor speed should be within 18000-24000 RPM.
(3) If the blade is too long, should not in machining hard materials.
4. Tool breakup frequently, besides the relation of cnc tools quality, also has a relation to user's setting habit, precision of guide rails and motor, plates, and collets, etc.
