How to Identify Quality of CNC Carving Bits

The best way to distinguish CNC carving bits is by cutting test. However, it is very hard to test when we buy router cutters for the first time.

So how to identify the quality of cnc carving bits?

We can carry out from the following aspects.

1. Observe:

(1) Smooth rake face, will have small friction in processing; thus can prolong the lifetime of spiral bit.

It also states the good grinding quality.

(2) See if the coating is rough.

(3) Check the surface of cnc cutting blade, for fear of buying a used cutter.

2. Select CNC carving bits with narrow edge-line.

(1) The purpose of wide edge-line is to increase tool strength.

But once the blade wears out, the edge-line will play a part in cutting, resulting in declining tool life sharply.

(2) Sometimes, if we demand small cutting force and sharp cnc carving bits, use narrow edge-line is very necessary.

3. The thinner tool joint, the sharper flute endmill is.

4. In addition, see if the packaging box is new.
