Notes before Using Engraving Tools for Granite

What Warm Notice before Using Engraving Tools for Granite?

 

1.    The working plate should be leveled up first before processing. In general condition, the front side of plate, which is the engraving surface, is all through fine milling and polishing, so it is very smooth and steady. Well, the back side of work board, which is contacting with cnc router platform, is not like this. So in order not to affect the normal use and tools life, we must fill to guarantee the board level and cutter even loading before machining, in this way, it can better extend cutter service life.

 

2.    During working process, guarantee there is recycling water for tools cooling and enough water in touch point of workpiece and tool-tip. All professional stone cnc engravers have this function. If there is not water jet equipment, you could also equip simple one.

 

If there is out of water in processing, stop work at once! To the router bits with high temperature because of water-shortage, be sure to restart engraving after natural cooling. Do not hurry to cool down bits with water in the high temperature conditions. Or diamond tools will break, just like glass bottle meets boiling water.

 

3.    Diamond router bits are hard and crisp, wear-resisting and not touch-resistant. When knife point contacting machined part, keep slow speed. Besides, in case of point cutting metals while machining.   

 

4.    To this model diamond cutter, if it works on stone materials, then select cnc engraving equipment with 3kw or above spindle; if carving glass or the hardness of processing parts is not so high, then use machine with 2.2kw spindle. When engraving processing, feeding speed and depth should be set according to actual hardness of work pieces. (take natural granite for example), one time best feed depth does not exceed 1mm, feedrate is set about 30%.

 

5.    The PCD bits can meet very good performance on different kinds of cnc lathe machinery, such as drawing lines, edge lining, small letters carving, 3D relief sculpturing, with long service lifetime. Especially perform 3d embossing so well on granite and ceramic tiles. As usual, the biggest engraving depth can be 1mm.

 

6.    Diamond tools can solve problems which solid carbide tools cannot. Such as bottom milling, face or groove milling, with smooth flat surface, fast speed and high efficiency. We can choose cutting edge width on the basis of actual slot width or the machined plane size. The suitable one time engraved depth is 2mm.

 

7.    The demand for router machine:

(1)  Spindle motor power is above 2kw.

(2)  Spindle rotating speed is about 20000-24000/rpm.

(3)  There is enough recycling water on the contact place of tool-tip and stone.

(4)  Try best to select professional cnc stone equipment or machinery with good rigidity.
