    Spindle Type of CNC Router

     

    CNC Router spindle is an important part of CNC router.

    Today, let's study spindle type.

     

    Generally, there are two spindle types: precision machined spindle and high power cutting spindle.

     

    1.    Precision machined spindle:

    (1)  Feature:

    Cnc spindle motor is usually:

    ①   High-speed variable frequency motor;

    ②   Smaller than 250W;

     

    (2)  Application:

    This spindle type is more suitable for processing particular subtle materials, such as: seal, nameplate, breast plate, gifts articles, etc;

     

    (3)  Advantage:

    Low noisy, high running speed, high precision;

     

    (4)  Disadvantage:

    Poor capability in cutting thicker materials (cutting ability is also related to machine configuration and good CNC tools);

     

    2.   High power cutting spindle:

    (1)  Major application:

    This spindle type is mainly used for cutting thick materials, especially for 2D cutting, 3D lettering, etc;

     

    (2)  Feature:

    High power, good cutting ability;

     

    (3)  According to characteristics, spindle motor can be divided into AC brushless motor and AC brush motor;

    The main difference is:

    ①   To rotation speed:

    a)  Ac brushless motor is with higher rotation speed and 70060000 RPM variable-speed range;

    b)  To AC brush motor: the maximum speed is not more than 24000 RPM;

     

    ②   AC brushless motor is with higher precision, less wear and noise;

    ③   To locked-rotor characteristic:

    a)  Ac brushless motor is better;

    Because with specific current-limiting circuit, ac brushless motor won't be burned if blocked in short time;

    b)  In overloaded running or blocked, ac brush motor will be smoking and burned very quickly, and couldn't be repaired;

     

    ④   To the lifetime:  

    a)  Ac brushless motor adopts AC frequency conversion technology:

    Professional with longer service life;

    1 year warranty for free;

    Could maintain by changing high-speed bearing;

    b)  The lifetime of ac brush motor is around 300 hours, then have to change motor or motor carbon;

    Usually, it is not be covered by the warranty;
