What Factors Should We Consider When Determine CNC Tool Path?
CNC tool path is the movement locus and direction, which diamond tools relative to work piece in entire cnc machining process.
The reasonable choice is very important.
So what should we think about while deciding it?
1. Ensure workpiece quality.
Should guarantee the demands of machining accuracy and machined surface roughness.
2. Minimize cnc tool path, and try to shorter empty travel time of carbide tool bits, improving processing efficiency.
3. Choose the feed way with small deformation after manufacturing.
Easy numerical calculations, simplifying programming work.
4. Try to decrease program segment.
5. Assure the requirements of outline surface roughness after manufacturing.
The last contour should be produced continuously.
6. Think over cut-in and cutaway seriously.
So could avoid:
(1) The sintered cutters to stop and leave marks;
(2) Scratch work piece because of vertical cutting.
In addition, when confirm cnc tool path, should also consider some other elements. Such as stone engraving tools, one-pass or multipass, down milling or up milling, etc.
