Popular speaking, breaking edge phenomenon refers to the cnc cutting edge breaking into work piece. Or, the router bits are destroyed because of contacting with harder impurities.
The consequence of breaking edge phenomenon is very serious. Breaking edge phenomenon usually causes:
1. Work piece:
Have scratches, thus damage surface finish and cause material scrapped.
2. Downcut spiral bit is broken.
3. Operator is injured or even dead because of floating process materials. .
We should try our best to avoid breaking edge phenomenon, which has big effect to cnc machine precision.
