Why Stone CNC Tools are Broken?

Why stone CNC tools are broken easily sometimes?

We can consider from the following aspects.

1.    Poor quality of stone router bits:

It is necessary to select high-quality ASTECH diamond tools (such as flat-end slotting cutter) to fit your demand.

2.    Router collets result in broken stone cnc tools:

(1)  The clamping length is not long enough, causing shake of granite stone tools.

(2)  It is easy to cause tool breakup because of collet deformation.

3.    Stone cnc tools breakage leads from stone cnc machine itself:

(1)  Feeding speed is too fast or insufficient rotate speed.

Tool life has great relationship with cutting speed.

The harder stone materials, the slower speed should be.

(2)  To spindle power, usually 4.5KW is suitable for good processing speed and electricity saving.

4.    Unmatched tool materials lead to broken stone cnc tools:

For example,

(1)  PCD bits are more suitable for hard stone materials, which is very fine in texture.

(2)  To granitic rock with rough grains, it is prone to wear tools.

5.    Tool engagement is too big in machining.

6.    Working environment of stone cnc tools:

Guarantee sufficient water cycle in the contact parts of tool-tip and stone.

7.    The requirements to operator:

(1)  While programming, ensure flexible feed in every cutting.

(2)  Tool tip should touch materials while revolving.
