Why Y Axis Jitter
Why Y axis jitter while returning to origin?
We can handle Y-axis jitter separately from cnc transmission.
1. To ball screw driving mode, the analysis to Y axis jitter is:
(1) CNC router gantry is with too light materials and bad rigid.
(2) Ball screw is so thin as to cause y axis jitter.
(3) There are something or damage on the screw or guide rails.
If y axis jitter always happen in the same place, it need to take apart and observe the problem.
(4) Guide rails have problems on setting accuracy.
2. To gear rack transmission way, solution to y axis jitter is:
Lead rail and rack:
(1) The problem of installation accuracy;
(2) There are foreign objects on the rails or gear teeth;
(3) There are clearance because of machine wear;
3. Another reason of Y axis jitter is the bad lubrication.
Try to add some mechanical oil on the ball screw and guide rails.
