Sintered Diamond Cutter and Brazed Diamond Cutter
Sintered diamond cutter and Brazed diamond cutter are currently the two most commonly used diamond tools on stone CNC router machinery.
They each have different advantages and application areas.
1. Sintered diamond tool is made by sintering diamond particles together at high temperature and high pressure. It has the following advantages:
- (1). High hardness: Sintered diamond end mills have extremely high hardness, so can do cutting, milling, grinding work on stone materials with high hardness.
- (2). Wear-resistance: Due to its high hardness, sintering diamond router bits have excellent wear-resistance, and can be used for a long time without losing cutting ability.
- (3). Efficiency: High cutting efficiency and can quickly complete processing tasks.
2. Brazing diamond tools are made by mixing diamond particles with metal powder and smelting them. It has the following advantages:
- (1). Impact-resistance: Compared to sintering diamond bits, brazed diamond endmill has greater toughness and impact-resistance, and can withstand larger impact forces during the working process.
- (2). Adaptability: brazing diamond router cutters are suitable for stone fine carving and cutting job, especially good for machining brittle materials.
3. As for whether there will be new materials for milling cutters, to replace sintered diamond tools and brazed diamond bits, there is currently no exact information. However, the continuous development of technology may bring new materials and tool designs.
In the future, more advanced and efficient cnc router tool materials may emerge, but currently, sintering diamond end mill and brazing diamond router bits are still the most commonly used tools on stone CNC engraver machine lathe.
